What this site keeps, and what it does not.
Short version: no cookies, no advertising trackers, and the bio builder works entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere unless you choose to send the optional form.
What you enter in the bio builder
The facts you type into the Author Bio Builder, and the bios it writes, stay in your browser. The bios are written on your own device, not on a server. They are not sent to Scribe Media or anyone else unless you fill in and send the optional form.
Counting visits
To know whether the site is useful, it counts events such as "a page was viewed" or "the bio builder was started." Each count is stored only as an anonymous total per day. No cookie is set, and no IP address, device ID or other identifier is stored with the counts.
Links that carry campaign tags
If you arrived from a link with campaign tags in the address (such as utm_source), the site keeps those tags in session storage and sends them with the optional form, so Scribe knows which link brought you. Links from this site to scribemedia.com are tagged to show they came from here.
If you send the form
Your name, email, optional phone number, the page you sent it from and anything you chose to include from the bio builder are sent to Scribe Media and stored in Scribe's customer system (HubSpot). Scribe uses them to get in touch with you and as described in the Scribe Media privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Fonts and hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web server, these receive standard request information such as your IP address in order to deliver the page.
